Privacy and data handling
Every assessment on guides.rodan.io runs in your browser. We designed it that way on purpose: you can score your gaps honestly without creating an account or handing answers to a server mid-flow.
What runs in your browser
Three self-assessments, all client-side:
- Data Governance Maturity Self-Check (~30 min, six domains, score out of 72)
- AI Readiness Scorecard (~3 min, five categories, maturity level out of 100)
- Insights engagement scoper (~2 min, recommends an entry point)
Scoring, banding, gap analysis and share-link generation all happen locally. No login. No backend database for your answers.
What localStorage is used for
We use your browser's localStorage for two things only:
- Resume progress if you leave mid-assessment and come back on the same device and browser
- Your last completed result so you can compare a re-run or pick up where the stack suggested next
Keys are prefixed rodan_stack_. Clear site data in your browser settings to remove them. We do not sync localStorage across devices.
What leaves your browser
Nothing, unless you choose. At the end of an assessment you may opt in via a Tally form to send your score summary to Rodan (tool, score, band, weakest area and similar fields). That form opens in a new tab and only submits if you complete it.
Share links copy a URL with an encoded result parameter (?r=). Anyone with the link can decode the score summary in their own browser. Treat share links like you would a forwarded email with numbers in it.
Analytics
Google Tag Manager (GTM-MP4BQCS) loads on every page for aggregate traffic measurement. It does not receive your assessment answers. Optional Cloudflare Web Analytics may load if configured; again, no answer data.
